Focus Your Attention in the Eye Center with Sense of Power into Spiritual Region
EXCERPTS FROM SARDAR BAHADUR JAGAT SINGH MAHARAJS
Letter to seekers and disciples 1948 – 1951

61. Radha Swami prescribes a method of practice by which concentration can be brought about “at will” if you want to get the method you should contact a True Master.

62. You should try to focus your attention in the eye center. as concentration develops your soul will have vision of the inner solar system and after crossing it, you may expect to see the astral form of the Master.

Spiritual progress make one indifferent to worldly surrounding and enables one to rise above adverse circumstances. That is the only way. While alive, an initiate is to vacate the body in the same way people do at death, but at will and see what lies beyond. The attention has to be withdrawn from the body and concentrated at the eye center. this is a slow process and is connected with Past Karma. It is a life long process.

63. As you yourself feel, sometimes in the beginning one feel very much elated and filled with a sense of power. Sometimes the attention slips out or down and one has to put in no small effort to bring it back again.

It has been out from the eye center for will not lose its upward tendencies easily.
The pain in the legs and lower part of the body is due to the withdrawal of consciousness. It will not last long but is unavoidable in the beginning if you find it unbearable you may slow the pace. Also do not get up from Brajan at once but gradually, after stroking the legs.

Consciousness is spread through the entire body, RIGHT DOWN TO THE TOES, and is very intimately associated with the body, the separation of this long and intimate association is natural painful but with practice it becomes easy and natural then you will pass through the portals of death and gate of light, into Spiritual Region.

Please do not fear nor worry about faces, however miserable or ill looking that you may see; but go on repeating the Names with love and confidence, and Remember that the protecting power of the Master is always with you. The horrible sight are due to old, may be age long associations and affinities, but are Powerless to exercise any evil influence as long as you take your stand in Nam. They will disappear of themselves.

64. As concentration improves an the consciousness is draw up, The sound Automatically become stronger. In the beginning the emphasis should be on vacating the body.

65. The important thing is to withdraw your ATTENTION FROM OUTWARD OBJECT and turn it within FEELING OF EXHILARATION IS A SIGN OF CONCENTRATION, but the body need not and should be directed TOWARD THE EYE CENTER.

As you learn to hold the attention more steadily, you will be able to see the Master within more clearly and in great detail.

TWO AND HALF HOURS AT A TIME YOU SHOULD SIT | Meditation Technique

TWO AND HALF HOURS AT A TIME YOU SHOULD SIT | Meditation Technique
EXCERPTS FROM SARDAR BAHADUR JAGAT SINGH MAHARAJS
Letter to seekers and disciples 1948 – 1951

39. You should do well to grasp the technical connection between the mind and the body the object of initiation is to enable the disciple to concentrate all his attention and consciousness at the EYE CENTER (THE THINKING CENTER) so that he may be able to contact the shabd, the Divine Melody which is resounding within and with its help, go up and reach the highest spiritual region whence it emanates.

As long as the Mind is attached to outward form and is ruled by sense pleasures, it cannot go up the thinking center. yielding to the sense also weakens the intrinsic power of the mind, for them it has to depend for its pleasure and enjoyment on external objects instead of upon itself. forms change and their pleasures also are short lived, besides occasionally giving one a severe shock. If man were to make himself independent of outward form and seek happiness and enjoyment within, he would grow strong and be able to go in at will then he would shed all his weaknesses and hold the mind and senses in control.

Lust is perhaps the strongest of the five enemies and must fought. Adding fuel to the fire only increase the conflagration and certainly does not extinguish it. I would suggest that you control it consciously. By dwelling upon its harmful effects.

By developing the opposite qualities, i.e. controlled and virtuous life, and realizing the Immense help it gives in Spiritual life

By keeping yourself busy with your duties. When means and circumstances permit, you may marry and settle down, and lead a controlled married life.

40. You now have the technique for meditation and you should find regular time for it everyday. If you cannot sit for TWO AND HALF HOURS AT A TIME YOU SHOULD SIT AS LONG AS YOU CONVENIENTLY CAN AND THEN INCREASE THE PERIOD GRADUALLY. If you pressed too much for time you may divided it into two periods, but it is always preferable to have one long sitting. The important thing is to withdraw the current of consciousness from the body and hold it at the eye center.

You should never try to force your views on them but should win them over by your conduct and if you are true to your spiritual duties, it is bound to influence them.

41. Please try to find a better house and, till you get another, try to make yourself as comfortable as you can under the circumstances. One should strive, but without being affected by the results.

42. I may at once tell you that black magic will not touch you if you are true to your pledges as a satsangi and do you Repetition of Names properly. Black Magic affect only weak – willed people. Even non satsangis cannot be affected by it if they posses a strong will.

Troubles and disappointment and even failures do come to us in life. We should face them with a strong will and with faith and confidence in the Master. You have been taught to rise above these distractions. By faith and regular Repetition of the Sacred Names. Similarly, when you fear adverse influences, you should not think of them but of the Master and Nam and try to take your attention to the eye center with quiet Mental Repetition of the Five Holy Names given to you at the time of initiation.

A spirit of Mutual accommodation is far more helpful then cold logic.

Repetition of the Sacred Names | Eye Focus

Repetition of the Sacred Names | Eye Focus
EXCERPTS FROM SARDAR BAHADUR JAGAT SINGH MAHARAJS
Letter to seekers and disciples 1948 – 1951

25. The Confusion of MIND and BRAIN is not the result of MEDITATION - it is possible that mind goes out during repetition, and on account of worldly worries and difficulties, the mind does not sick to repetition but confuses the brain by generating external thoughts. It should be kept quiet and peaceful at the time and at least during Meditation. A disciple has to fight with his mind and bring under control by making motionless.

27. CONCENTRATES ON THE REPETITION OF THE SACRED NAMES, with the attention centered at the EYE FOCUS, and when that is complete, the struggle will be won. You need not entertain fear of any trouble, disability or death occurring during Meditation.
Yes the concentration will go on improving if you repeat the holy names lovingly and steady fastly. Short period of meditation of at least one half hour each, in addition to the usual regular periods, are helpful and you may utilize such intervals.

To practice Meditation at a time when stomach is empty and the food has been digested is decidedly better.

You need not talk to other about this path, which is new to you, until you have gained a surer footing and richer experiences. Your life your mental poise and your behavior will automatically impress others, and they will themselves wonder and inquire as to what has brought about the change.

28. MAGIC, SPIRITUALISM AND ALL SUCH PRACTICES ARE ANTAGONISTIC TO RADHA SWAMI PATH. Any one who indulges in them cannot expect to make progress in concentration and meditation. No such person can get initiation unless and until he gives up such pursuits. Also any disciple who wishes to make spiritual progress will have to sever connection with all those who practice black magic, spiritualism and like.

You should go on giving time to your Repetition and Concentration. Them no evil influence can touch you.

The Wonderful House in Which We Live

THE WONDERFUL HOUSE IN WHICH WE LIVE

Hindu sages refer to this body of ours “house with nine doors” sometimes it is referred to as a house of ten gates. Nine gates open outward through which our energies are dissipated. The tent gate open the way to the palaced of the Lord within. The nine doors comprise our two eyes, two ears, two nostrils, the mouth and the two lower outlests. The tenth is in the center. Behind the two eyes. It is called tisra till. Shiv nectar of THIRD EYES. The Mohammedan Saints call it Nukta – I - Swaida.

The study of the inner structure of this housewill reveal that it contains tweve stories, which can be devided into two parts. The part below the ye is called “PINDA”. It contains six chakras and extend up to the eye, we have “ANDA” and “BRAHMANDA” as well as the higher region which make up the second part.
Yogis enter the body from the lowest chakra called the MUL ADHAR, and stop at the eye center which they consider the last and the highest region.
The saints teach us to start from the EYE CENTER which is the headquarters of the mind and the soul in the walking state, the saints show us how to rise from the point up to the Sat Lok the fifth region above eyes. They save their disciples the drudgery of going down and then treading the tedious, long, dreary and perilous mas of the khat chakras kanwal center or Plexuses.
1.     The FIRST CHAKRA,  called MUL ADHAR is at the rectum. Its Lord of ruling deity is Ganesh, the God with the elephant head he is the Lor of all RIDHIS and SIDHIS.  Those desirous of attaining this stage concentrate their attention at the center and repeat “Kilyang, Kilyang” ten million times, on reaching this stage the practitioner become the master of many Sidhi Shaktis (miraculous and super natural power). This will power become so strong that if he orders a fast running train to stop it cannot move an inch further. This center has four petals. Its color is reddish. Prithvi (earth) is the dominant element (tattwa) here. It is the reflection of the FOUR PETTALED lotus behind the eye center in the upper part. It is teh subject to change and dissolution at the time of our death, when the current of our death, begin to widhdraw from the body, this is the first center to be affected. When the soul leaves the eye center, we are dead to word but fully conscious with. Our ideal is to attain eternal liberation to be one with the Immortal, everlasting Lord of Lords, who is wihhout beginning and without beggining and without end and whose abode neither PRALAYA nor maha pralaya can reach.
2.     The Swad Asthan Chakra is the genital center. This lotus six petals. Its colors is whitish black, water is the chief tattwa her and “onkar” is the word. Brahma (This should not be confused with Brahm, the presiding deity at Trikuti. Which is the SPIRITUAL REGION and is in Brahmand, avove the eye center) and Savitri are the rulling deities of this center their function is to mould physical bodies for the material world, in the same manner as potter moulds eathenware. This chakra is the reflection of the six pettaled lotus in ANDA.
3.     The Mani Purak is the third chakra and it is located at the navel ganglion. This kanwal or lotus has eight petals. Vishnu and Lakshimi are the presiding deities. They are the nourishers and look after the maintenance of the body. Fire is the active tattwa and its color is light red. “Hiryang” is the recitation of this place.
4.     The Hirday Chakra, the fourth center has, twelve petal and located at the heart center. It is the store house of the “Pranas”, the vital energy. In the breath shiva resides here with his consort, Parbati. Their duty is the dissolution of life. Air is the rulling tattwa her and blue is the color of this center. The recitation at this place is “Sohung”.
5.     The Kanth Chakra, which is a sexteen pettaled lotus is the fifth center and is located at the throat. The presiding deity is Ashtangi(the goddess with eight arms) the mother of the three lower gods, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, who derive their power from her. She is known by many other name such as Shakti, Durga etc. Darkish Blue is the color here and Akash (ether) is the tattwa “Shiriyang” is the name repeated at the center.
6.     Do Dal Kanwal (two petalled lotus) is the sixth center, between the two eyes. It is called “Shiv Netar”. “Tisra Til” or “Third Eye”. This is headquarters of our soul and mind during the walking state. From this point the current of the soul have come down and spread throughout. Our whole body in every cell and hair. This is as far as the Khat Chakras, can take the soul. Pranayam cannot take one beyond this stage for the reason that the “Pranas” the energies in the breath which form the vehicle use for ascent merge in the Chita Kash(sky within at this stage)

Near  the sacral plexus and associated with the funtion of reproduction is the “NADI” the royal vien called “KUNDALINI”, which lies COILED LIKE A SERPENT. This is the root of all nadis, from, it twenty – four smaller nadis spring forth, which support the body. Out of these ten carry the pranas to different parts of the body. Among these Ida, Pingla and Sushmana are the major radis, which control the breath they reach only as far as the shiv Netar, the tisra til, near the eye. Thr progress of those who follow Pranayam (the practice of rhythmic breathing), stop place their origin no pwer can carry one further that its origin from here some realize their limitation and take the help of the three canals or streams of the gunas and manage to reach sanans dal kanwal. This is the first chakra of brahmand, whence the way of the saints begins.
