Clear Your Mind Before Setting Down | Repetition of the Five Holy Name SIMRAM
EXCERPTS FROM SARDAR BAHADUR JAGAT SINGH MAHARAJS
Letter to seekers and disciples 1948 – 1951

47. Ups and down in business and in most things in life are natural, but worry never help any body. The proper thing is to handle the situation in the light of your experience and worldly wisdom and with faith and hope.

BEFORE SETTING DOWN, CLEAR YOUR MIND OF ALL THOUGHTS, THEN DO YOUR SIMRAM (REPETITION OF THE FIVE HOLY NAME) with love and faith.

49. A very slow process, except in the case of those who have trodden the path in a previous incarnation.

50. The real appreciation come when one is able to vacate the body, “go in” and contact Nam.
When you devote yourself to Meditation and Nam, these things will come automatically.

51. Physically pain is compelling and disturbing, no doubt, but the habit of Simram at the eye center make you indifferent to pain to a very great extent.

For you have not yet developed that power and it would only scatter what little you have get. However, you may draw their attention to spiritual realities and spiritual comforts, and render whatever physical service is possible.

52. When the concentration is complete, the sound will come of itself. the function of sound is to pull the soul up. The sound cannot pull it up unless the attention has been withdrawn from the entire body by means of Repetition, just as a magnet cannot attract a piece of iron which is lying been its magnetic field. It is the function of SIMRAM (Repetition of five Holy Names) to bring about the stillness and concentrating of mind. Repetition should be performed while the attention is fixed at the eye center.

Our spiritual Journey begins from toes of the feet and ends at the crown of the head. We come up to the yes via Simram. From we travel to the fifth stage, at the top of the head, with the help of Sound Current.
